Description
This stamp commemorates the tenth anniversary of the proclamation of the Tunisian Republic, a founding event which marks the break with the monarchy and the affirmation of a new political order based on popular sovereignty and republican institutions. The illustration depicts a gesture of floral offering, a symbol of peace, renewal and collective adherence to the values of the Republic, while the reference to national emblems underlines the legitimacy of the State and the continuity of the national project. The composition suggests a dynamic relationship between the people and the Republic, built on commitment, hope and shared responsibility in building the country. Placed in the Tunisian context of the 1960s, this stamp reflects a period of political consolidation, institutional modernization and construction of a civic identity, where the Republic is presented as a framework for progress, stability and national pride.
