Description
This stamp commemorates the twentieth anniversary of the national victory of 1955, a founding event which marks the culmination of the process leading to the internal autonomy of Tunisia and opens the way to independence. The illustration, deliberately dynamic and abstract, features stylized human figures in upward movement, symbolizing collective momentum, liberation and the hope brought by the national struggle. The fluid shapes and taut lines reflect the idea of a people on the move, united by the same objective of sovereignty and dignity, while the composition suggests a break with immobility and the entry into a new era. In the Tunisian context, this stamp is part of a memory policy aimed at recalling the central role of the national struggle, popular mobilization and the sacrifices made to regain control of the national destiny. It thus affirms a republican identity based on freedom, solidarity and confidence in the future, by celebrating not only a historic date, but also the lasting values which structure the Tunisian national consciousness.
