The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948 at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris. Every year, on December 10, “Human Rights Day” commemorates this founding commitment, which sets out the inalienable rights of every human being.
