This stamp marks the first commemoration of the death of national poet Sghair Ouled Ahmed (1955-2016). The illustration presents his serene face accompanied by his famous verses "I love the country like no other loves it... morning and evening", poetry which became the patriotic anthem of the Tunisian revolution. Through this broadcast, Tunisia honors the memory of its "poet of the homeland", tireless voice of freedom and secularism, whose work continues to vibrate in the hearts of Tunisians as a permanent call for love of the native soil and human dignity.
