Description
This stamp celebrates the designation of Kairouan as “Capital of Islamic Culture” in 2009. It illustrates the Mausoleum of Abi Zamâa al-Balawi, better known as the Barber Mosque. The visual highlights the elegance of the galleries with horseshoe arcades and the refinement of the ceramics and sculpted stuccoes which decorate the courtyard.
