Description
This stamp highlights the National Military Museum, housed in the magnificent “Palace of the Rose” (Qasr al-Warda) in Manouba. Built in the 18th century during the Beylical reign, this building is a masterpiece of Beylical architecture mixing Sicilian, Andalusian and Ottoman influences. By illustrating its arcaded galleries and marble columns, the stamp celebrates the preservation of Tunisian monumental heritage and its reallocation into a place of memory dedicated to the military history of Tunisia, from Antiquity to the present day.
