Description
The issuer of the stamp is the Tunisian Postal Office which depends on the Tunisian government. Although Tunisia was, from 1881, under the regime of the French protectorate, a decree of March 20, 1888 entrusted the postal service and the telegraph service to the Tunisian authority.
